A scenic and continuous e-MTB itinerary on the southern side of Monte Legnone, following the military mule tracks of the Cadorna Line and avoiding the most exposed and technical sections of the ridge. The ascent features a long and steady development, ideal for pedal-assisted riding, with increasingly wide views over the Valvarrone and Lake Como.
The route starts from the village of Pagnona, climbing the valley along historic roads and agro-pastoral tracks. After passing the first rural settlements, the ascent joins the military mule track that leads toward higher elevations, characterized by a constant gradient and compact surface, well suited for e-MTB riding.
As the climb continues, the trail crosses alpine pastures and increasingly open landscapes until reaching Rifugio Griera, set in a panoramic position just below the ridge. This point represents an ideal endpoint for the e-MTB itinerary on the Valvarrone side, either as a final destination or as a rest stop.
For riders wishing to continue, it is possible to follow the military road further up to the Matok del Petóo (2,305 m), without tackling the summit crossing between the two sides of the massif. This upper section retains advanced hiking characteristics but remains compatible with experienced e-MTB users, thanks to the width of the track and the regularity of its gradients.
